Spruce & Meadow... Who are we?

Hey everyone, thanks for being here and supporting my small business! I thought it would be a great time to introduce Spruce & Meadow and who I am. My Name is Jaimie, my story starts back in 2017 when I met a boy and moved from Nanaimo, BC to Victoria BC, we started building a life quickly together and got pregnant in 2020 during Covid. Being pregnant with a little girl, I knew I was going to need a camera, because I was going to need to take thousands of photos of my new mini me. I was one of the many women who fell into post partum anxiety with a very bad hormonal imbalance amplified by a medication used to bring in my milk. The anxiety was overwhelming and I used photography as an outlet. I fell in love with Photography and decided to make careers out of it. . Now here we are in 2023 launching my second baby; Spruce & Meadow.

Telling stories through photographs that will be passed down from one generation to the next is something I am so passionate about. When you make the decision to work with me whether it be for a family session, maternity, newborn, a wedding, etc... I want you to feel the passion and the love I pour into each image, and each session. Having clients see themselves how others see you makes my heart sing.

So, with all of that being said... Think of this little blog portion on my website as an extension of me. It will be a place we can share laughter and tears, the good and the bad, and everything in between. I want it to be a place where you (our clients), and arguably the most important part of Spruce & Meadow can feel connected and get to feel like part of our little family!
